Sure, we'd all like to live in a world where the sun is always shining and we can enjoy the great outdoors at our leisure (or maybe you love rainy days, no judgments). But it's highly unlikely that you live somewhere where the weather is ALWAYS perfect. So what to do when you don't feel like braving the elements? Here are 5 rainy day activities that don't suck.
1. Organize your life
Ok, I lied. This first one might not be the most fun. But you know that pesky thing at the top of your to-do list that never actually gets done? Well a rainy day is the PERFECT time to do it! So go through your clothes, those random drawers, your filing cabinets, etc. and organize your life! I bet you'll find SO much to get rid of, and maybe even some treasures you forgot about.
2. Go to a museum
Maybe you're a bit traumatized from childhood about how boring museums were. But you should seriously give them another chance! They can be super informative and interactive, and it's always a good idea to get a little more cultured :)
3. Check out a local brewery
I'm definitely guilty of having one-too-many on rainy days because who doesn't love an excuse to drink 😆 so checking out a local brewery is near the top of my rainy day list (it might actually be first, don't judge me!). Not only are you supporting a local small business, but the craft beers and ciders are almost always exceptional!
4. Have a game night
Another fun rainy day idea is to have a game night! Invite the gang, grab some snacks, and make a night of it! (& don't forget the wine of course).
5. Have a themed movie marathon
The ultimate rainy day activity is probably binging a show; but how about we take it up a notch and make it a themed movie marathon? I'm talking cheesy 90's slashers, or silly romcoms, or best movies with a twist. Invite your friends and put some ideas in a hat, first 3 to get chosen get watched...if you can still make it through 3 movies (man I feel old saying that 😂)
So there you have it! A couple fun activities if the weather is less than stellar. This is by no means a complete list so feel free to comment below some of your favorite things to do!
